WITH the recession now in full swing car owners are looking to find ways to cut down on fuel costs.
Sales of new cars are falling with the latest sales figures showing a drop for the fifth consecutive month.
That means more of us are holding onto our motors for longer making looking after the car more important than even says Alan Rennie, specialist for car maintenance at Halfords.
“With high fuel prices and rising motoring costs, it is no surprise that new car sales are slumping and motorists are holding onto their cars for longer,” he says.
